Do I need a passport or Visa?
Yes! Everyone entering Mexico will need a passport. If you are a US Citizen, there is no additional Visa or travel documents required. Please refer to https://uspassportandvisa.org/us-passport/ for receiving a new passport, renewing your passport or other FAQs related to passports.
If traveling from Argentina or Europe, please be sure to check your country-specific requirements before booking your flights.
Where should I stay?
We have hotels listed in the "CDMX Flights & Hotels" section that we suggest based on their locations, price, and amenities/design.
If you are wanting to stay in a VRBO, Airbnb or find your own hotel, we suggest staying in the Polanco, Roma Norte & Condesa areas. They are all very walkable and are filled with local shops, parks, restaurants, & bars. Each of these neighborhoods are no more than 20 mins by Uber to the venues for Friday and Saturday nights.
How do I get from the airport to my hotel/Airbnb?
We use Uber! It operates just like it does in the US and is very affordable and safe.
When should I arrive?
We suggest arriving at least one day early (by Thursday evening) to account for any travel delays during the winter months in the US. We hope that if you can, you come even earlier to explore Mexico City with us!
What will the weekend consist of?
Please plan for a welcome gathering on Friday evening and the wedding reception from Saturday afternoon until late night (this is a Latin wedding, after all :)
Is transportation provided to the wedding?
Please plan to use Uber to get to & from the wedding events. Please note: like an big city, traffic will get busier on nights and weekends, please allow for extra time when traveling to the reception. We will be starting on time at 4:30pm on Saturday.
Is there a dress code?
Yes, the welcome party on Friday is "colorful cocktail attire" and the wedding celebration on Saturday is black tie optional/formal attire. Jackets are required for men on Saturday, long dresses for women are recommended. If you are looking for some ideas on what to wear, here is some inspiration:

Are children welcome?
While we love your children, they are not invited to wedding activities. We hope this can be a fun getaway for you but if you want them to join you on the trip, please make sure you have arrangements for them during the wedding festivities. Thank you so much for understanding.

Please refer to your invitation and RSVP for information on additional guest(s) invited. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Do I need to know Spanish?
Mexico City is one of the world's largest cities and they are very used to speaking English in most places. However, we do suggest you learn easy phrases and download Google Translate as an app to your phone so you can use that to help communicate if you need to.
Can I drink the water?
Please be very aware that you cannot drink the tap water in Mexico, not even when you're brushing your teeth or showering. Restaurants use filtered water for everything, even ice, but we recommend avoiding fruits & veggies without skins purchased from street vendors + carts. There are loads of options that will not risk giving you a stomach ache!
Do many places accept credit cards in Mexico City?
Yes! Most places will accept all major credit cards. We highly suggest having pesos on hand for markets, tipping and street vendors.
What will the weather be in Mexico City?
Mexico City in February is still in its dry season. We found the days to be warm, usually between mid-70s to mid-80s, and the evenings to drop to mid 50s to mid-60s. Mexico City has an elevation of 7,340ft (for reference, this is 2,000 ft higher then Denver) so please plan on bringing sunscreen since the sun is much much stronger there. The wedding cocktail hour and dinner and will be outdoors so please plan accordingly.
